Yep , I've got the book.

Yep, go the book also. There was a nice TV show made about it set in 2 time zones, 1 showing the man him self and the stupidity of the time and the other (Featuring Jeremy Irons) about the guy who found the clocks buried under crap and lost the plot trying to figure them out.

I was stuck in London for few days with a Volcano stopping flights and went to the Greenwich Maritime Museum to see all 4 clocks. An impressive thing to see for sure.

Yeah I would like to go there. They must be works of art. Imagine how many ships and men were lost before the late 1700's.

Productive morning.
Tying to remove some of the weight that the camper has, she needs to go on a diet.
Remove the two spare wheels and use an 80 spare wheel winch and to position one wheel under the tool box, there's 60 odd kilos gone.
Next week I'll remove the steel work that held the spare wheels, this might be a good place for the Coleman Hot water system to live in a box. Might need to move the pole carrier from the front to the rear? of pack the inside of the camper differently(Solar panels, chairs, tables).
Now to distribute the weight so I still have the same ball weight %

Fitted my new winch. A few hurdles along the way but happy with the final result.
A little odd that ARB built a bar and recommend against winch manufactures instructions.

Ok, not just what izit.  What did you see as a concern with your project?
Or is it something that is subject to a Design patent Fight? And your not allowed to comment?

Warn and Haigh Aust (Mean Mother) both say in their fitting instructions to ensure cable /rope is spooled under the barrel and not over. ARB when building the winch bar i got about 7 years ago designed it and instructions say to spool over.
I'm guessing this is all physics and the concern is the extra stain on the rear mounting bolts on the winch.
Issues i foresee are warranty or insurance claims in the event of something going wrong.

Fitted two more 20w solar panels to the shed and house today,     http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/20W-12V-solar-panel-solar-module-W-3A-solar-controller-battery-clips-camping-/281736054977?hash=item4198c708c1        one on the shed roof to keep the ride on mower charged and ready to go and one on the rear of the house to keep the Ducati charged.   That makes a total of three now, the first 20w panel is on the shed roof keeping the camper batteries charged, it's worked so well that I decided to add a couple more !  I love set and forget solutions for those little maintenance jobs   :cup:

Replaced the Camper battery,
Filled the chassis of the Troll with Tectyl rust protector, then gave the whole undercarriage a new coat of some wiz bang rust inhibiting body deadener paint.
Then spent 3 hours getting the gunk off me :(

Normally when camped with a full set up and legs down, the kitchen sits fine (although I have always wondered about all that unsupported weight cantilevered off the slide's). But sometimes we do a lazy mans set up, and without the legs down, the weight of the kitchen extended caused the camper to lean on its springs - if that makes sense  ???

Any way, I sitting in the shed chair looking at it today and wondering how I could make a simple prop for the end of the Kitchen, when I saw these in the corner of the shed -

So after a couple of beers and some thinking music, I managed to fabricate this  ;D. I even give it a lick of paint to make it look like it belongs there.

I've made it a permanent fixture so I don't have to worry about storing it somewhere. When not in use, it simply collapses to half it's length, and swings up 180 deg. and tucks in behind the sink rack.

Anyway, I'm off back to my shed to sit in the comfy thinking chair, have another beer, and admire my afternoons work  ;D

Give the Old Girl ( 91 GQ Patrol ) a full service . :D

Oil, Fuel & Air filters filled with clean engine oil, checked and topped up gear box, transfer case and diffs , full greasing of all tail shafts and steering joints, checked brake pads, checked brake , clutch and power steering fluids and checked/topped up radiator and windscreen fluids.

While she was up on the hoist I fitted my new rear spring air bags. Thanks Red Dog.  :cup:
