Normally when camped with a full set up and legs down, the kitchen sits fine (although I have always wondered about all that unsupported weight cantilevered off the slide's). But sometimes we do a lazy mans set up, and without the legs down, the weight of the kitchen extended caused the camper to lean on its springs - if that makes sense
Any way, I sitting in the shed chair looking at it today and wondering how I could make a simple prop for the end of the Kitchen, when I saw these in the corner of the shed -
So after a couple of beers and some thinking music, I managed to fabricate this
. I even give it a lick of paint to make it look like it belongs there.
I've made it a permanent fixture so I don't have to worry about storing it somewhere. When not in use, it simply collapses to half it's length, and swings up 180 deg. and tucks in behind the sink rack.
Anyway, I'm off back to my shed to sit in the comfy thinking chair, have another beer, and admire my afternoons work
