It was a purchased plan from a builder of clocks.
The wood is very fine bamboo plywood, the sheet I used cost me over $150.00
The patterns are printed and glued to the wood and then I use a 0.4mm X 1mm scroll saw blade to cut each gear dead on the line.
the smallest deviation creates serious issues and the damn things don't run.
I also modify each clock to make them more ridged and function better.
Its the toolmaker in me I cant help but fiddle.
Total build time 4 months (part time)
Accuracy....about 3-4 min a day depending on the humidity, these clocks are seriously affected by humidity.
You have to wind them every day, so its wind and reset clock off my Casio explorer watch (accurate to 1 sec a year)
The things we do!!!!
This is a video of the escapement, an interesting mechanism, bugger to get right.
