The battery stuff is getting better these days.
I've replace all my 240V tools for 18V, except for my 300mm sliding compound saw.
I went Makita, only because a couple of the guys that contract to me have Makita aswell, being able swap batteries etc, I do have 8x 5ah's and the 12v to 18v charger connected to my second battery in the ute, so I don't need a 240v charger.
I bought the 18V 240mm bar chain saw two years ago with 3 spare chains, love it, I also have the Reciprocating Saw, having metal, timber & a wood/vegetation blades, so it's great for pruning. Oh, I forgot, I have the hedge trimmer, makes light work of lantana.
I take all three on our Club runs when attending to hut Maintenance, no more fuel smells in the Criuser
