Mrs has been complaining about smells coming up out of the shower & floor drains, & also had cockroaches comeing up through them , so got some of these https://www.aussiedrainmate.com.au/, & installed them a couple of weeks ago.

No complaints, or vermin, since!

& as we all know, happy wife ...

People over the back lit a fire in their barbie / fire pit yesterday arvo, but it was giving off really acrid smelling smoke

Would that possibly be charcoal, or did they just pick the wrong wood

After nearly a month with the wife's Pajero off the road (cancelled eBay order for a pair they sold me but they never had them😡), the new genuine front brake hose rocked up at Mitsubishi and I've just finished fitting it. They told me it was the last one in Australia. Lucky there's not too many Pajeros over here🙄

ironic, as i ordered two febest engine mounts for my NT pajero, and only received one. 

seems like i have the last one in australia for a few months...

but, i need two for an upcoming, already booked in, service, so i ordered some other ones...

Lady at Febest told me that they usually get shipments in every 3 months.  latest shipment is 6 months and counting.

Not my shed, the misses ( kitchen).
We have a Samsung frost free 2 door refridgerator which for all intensive purposes does what its supposed to do, except twice a year the drains that take away the water ,when it does its defrost thing in freezer, they freeze over. Its been doing it since about 1 year old and had the guy out to look at it a few times within warranty who on last visit  did the "Approved Samsung fix" which was to open a sealed packet and pull out a coil of copper wire which he pushed down the drain and wrapped the remainder around the little heater. Theory is when it goes into defrost and the heater  heats up. the heat will travel down the wire and melt all the ice that has accumulated over time. 
Dont know if it actually worked because next time it did it , the fridge was out of warranty and they wouldnt come back to the same fault with out me selling one of the kids.
Been putting up with it freezing up for past 5 years, ( know when it happens because the door shelves fill with water  from freezer that cant go anywhere else) happens about every 6 months now so empty it out, leave off for a day, look for drain pan to be full and then all good till next time.
Well today it was do or die, frozen up again , wife was looking at harvey norman catalogues for new one but I think I know why it freezes.
Seem it a common fault because the drain runs inside the fridge insulation so in the short time it gets to defrost it cant get warm enough to melt completely so each time a bit more water adds to level until it overflows.
So I cut out the back of the fridge. Easy job as the back plate is very thin and soft "steel" and dug out the insulation around the drain pipes.  My theory is if its not inside the insulation then it will stay at ambient temp and water will flow to drain pan.  One hiccup when I dug out too much insulation and broke through into one of the cool air vents. Fixed with alloy duct tape.

So we will see in about 6 months whether she gets a new fridge. My thought was I had nothing to loose.

I’ve got an old Westinghouse that did the same for years, has a very shaped shallow tray in the back of the fridge that would fill and freeze, and overflow. Simply drilled a hole at the lowest point of the eve and put a 2l ice cream container under it, empty it every few months. Just a drinks fridge so no biggie.

How does everybody store your empty diesel jerries when not in use

Only real options I've got are the shed (which can hit 50+° over summer ) or the garage, which is nice & (relatively!) cool, but I'm worried about the smell of diesel through the garage & into the house

& lid on to keep dirt / bugs out, or off to breathe

I keep mine in the shed with the top on, loosely covered with an old sheet

Lid on but not tight, so they can breathe a bit.

Drop about 30ml of Chemtec Diesel power(Aditive) in it, cap closed.

Have mentioned previously that I'm very impressed with the Ryobi 10" battery chainsaw.

We've been lopping the mango tree in the backyard & this is the last branch that it dropped.

Yep, took a while as we had to go from multiple sides, due to the branch being thicker than the length of the blade! , but it did it, on 2 bars out of a 4Ah battery!

The battery stuff is getting better these days.
I've replace all my 240V tools for 18V, except for my 300mm sliding compound saw.
I went Makita, only because a couple of the guys that contract to me have Makita aswell, being able swap batteries etc, I do have 8x 5ah's and the 12v to 18v charger connected to my second battery in the ute, so I don't need a 240v charger.
I bought the 18V 240mm bar chain saw two years ago with 3 spare chains, love it, I also have the Reciprocating Saw, having metal, timber & a wood/vegetation blades, so it's great for pruning. Oh, I forgot, I have the hedge trimmer, makes light work of lantana.
I take all three on our Club runs when attending to hut Maintenance, no more fuel smells in the Criuser
