Just confirming that my kids being 18 and 20 are on par with most other teenagers out there.

Where do I start....

They drive your car and think fuel appears in it over night.

They think their beds are made up automatically

They will eat your fridge out but leave the empty wrappers etc in the fridge so as not to let you know they ate it.

Your wallet is their mobile eftpos machine

Bath towels were designed to be used as floor mats

Unless your on Facebook you cannot understand them and the stress they are under

They know everything and I don't understand

Bills are things dad pays as I have more experience paying them

There car needs service and you stand there at the counter and they say you pay and I will pay you back.....by 2019

They forget to tell you things and expect you to drop everything to take them somewhere, pay for something or pick them up

They ask for your advice but then say you don't understand , yes I was born at the age of 40 and never went through what they are going through

I am sure I have missed a lot but you get the idea.

You have to love them......Well most of the time.

I have a hormonal 10 year old boy.  He's not going to last until teenager....and apparently this goes on for about 5 years!  Going to buy shares in Jack Daniels seeing as that's the only thing that is going to stop me from KILLING HIM!!!!!

I forgot to add I said to them once , "that times are tough and I will have to let one of you go, I will let you both decide" well didn't that cause some looks from them.

The good news for those of you who still have teens, they start turning into humans again by their mid 20's.
My 25 yo is is finally getting a social conscience and is at CFS training this evening. If only he could take his 13 yo sister with him......

mine are boy 25 moved out for a short period then moved back home, now brings the girl friend over, the girl is 23, she has never left home but got married and husband now lives with us as well.   


get the hint,not much changes as they get older.

Having 3 daughters the eldest turning 14 ( going on 20)next week. When being told off which is nightly she would storm off to her bedroom and slam the door shut. So I took the door off and was quite entertained for a while as she stormed off to her bedroom and I could shout out "and don't slam your door"

Mine are only 5 and 7 but jeez its just as bad...........

Only after the 14th time asking and shouting louder than a 747 do they actually do what they're told....................

In reply to the whole leaving thing, mine are more than welcome to stay home as long as they like.

I'll be hitching a van / camper / winnebago or the like, introducing them to the new rental tenants and arranging to meet somewhere for christmas..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well, well, well, that 3 minutes of fun is coming back and biting you all on the arse now, isn't it.......  ;D

But no, some of you lined up for seconds and thirds...... BAH HA HA HA

We don't have any kids, rugrats, children, sprogs, call 'em what you will.

But we do have a lovely boat, that goes out when i say it can, stays put when i want it to, doesn't mess up the house, doesn't eat my food, doesn't drive my car, but sometimes, drains my wallet now that i think about it.... hmmm.
That reminds me, $5,500 of marina fee's are due next month... bugger.

Thinking, thinking..... no, would rather the boat than a brat......  ;D

And no, I'm not worried about who will look after us in old age, we've told each niece and nephew, separately of course, that they get the lot when were dead......  :D

I've got news for them, the lot gets split between 3 charities... BAH HA HA HA.

Would love to see the looks on their faces when the solicitor tells them that.  :cheers:

We're doing a 'wait and see' with number 3 (yes we do know how babies happen lol), but I'm beginning to think that then we'll be out numbered and completely f*cked lol

yeah, im hearing ya!!! who else gets the
'whatever' when asking them something.
the other day i asked my nearly 12yr old son if he wanted some chocolate, his reaction..." whatever", so i said ok, more for me then ;D ;D ;D  its not like i am forcing to have something nice.
