Wife and 2 daughters, 17 and 14.

Just my luck, I get 1 stress free week a month.

Always seem to mow more lawns on the other 3 weeks.

I've got 3kids.

The eldest (step son) is 21 and eats all day, I mean all day.

My eldest daughter is 16 and is learning to drive, she is already drives better that her mother. She is very smart, I just can't workout where she got it.

The youngest daughter is a real terror, to smart for her own good. She is 15 and loves shoes. Shops on line.

Our nearly 25yo has just driven out the driveway in Daddys pride & joy (ute) as she returns back to Cairns to move from one place of abode to another.

She already had Daddy do a quick stint around to the Girl Guide hut dressed as Santa for the annual christmas party, and then borrowed some money as well.

He always reckons the girls could only spell dad as ATM

Why do they leave the margarine out, lid off every morning?

Why do we run out of plates, cups, cutlery?? Its because their bedrooms have them!

Towels dont need to be hung up, just grab a new one for those 3 showers a day you seem to have son! Oh and mum loves washing your clothes after you put them on fresh, straight away take them off again and leave them laying on the bathroom floor because you chose to wear something else.

I want the lawns mowed.....can you mow them this week please son ...... "I dont need any phone credit this week dad" grrrrrrrr

We dont just have two girls, But two fighting kicking screaming whirling banshee's that clash on a regular basis .... Apart from me wanting to hide in the garage when its on ... It is kinder funny to see the 20 yro get soundly trounced by the 4 yro ...
My little Puffin doesnt back down and she's off to school next year.. Can hear the phone ringing from the principal already ..LOL ..

Thats exactly what I do! I usually find something Shitty that needs doing to make him earn the cash.

OMG Danny,

That describes our place perfectly. I also love the complaints about us running out of towels by the one who uses a minimum of two towels a day! We send him to the rag cupboard, there are some old towels that HIS dog has chewed off the cloths line in there that he can use.

I had to laugh as number 1 son who is on holidays just walked inside (his room is a converted garage outside) and said "dad do you have to use that grinder at this hour of the morning, im trying to sleep"............................its 1pm!

This is getting strange, our no 1 son also has a bedroom converted from the garage. He would also sleep until 1pm if we let him, but he has a dog that has to be looked after.

To be fair to him he does work nights (running poker tournaments in pubs) so usually gets in around 2:00am but by my reakoning that means he could be up by 10:00am

Number 1 son just suprised me again..........

Next year we are having a fantastic trip up the top end for around 6 weeks and number 1 son being 18 simply didnt want to come. We tried our best to convince him its a trip he may never get to do again in his life etc etc but all to no avail. He claims he hates camping and everything to do with it......truth is he hates missing out of socialising with his mates.

Anyway, his girlfriend recently moved to Sydney and as a xmas and birthday present (they are only a week apart) he asked if we would shout him up there with some cash etc......hmmm we said we would think about it.

Well he just walked inside and said if you let me go and up there Ill come on the family holiday......AND we said how about next weekend when we have to go away with the mother in law (he was dead against this too) as she is down here visiting.....Yes no problems he said!!

We are going to get some mileage out of this one LOL

Eldest son got home from CFS training last night, during which he was kitted out with his protective clothing, all of which had previous owners. Walked in the door, proudly showed his mother his kit, then asked her to clean it for him.

Some recent funny things.....

Last Sunday morning at 7.00am daughter calls , jack is stuck in town and she is too tired to pick him up after he had a night on the town so dad , the taxi, naturally has to drive in and pick him up.

Today received my Optus bill. Normally about $180, as I have a business plan and also pay for my daughters plan. Scrolling down the page and the bill is $517.00

After shedding tears and saying WTF I checked the daily calls. Daughter calls boyfriend and stays on the phone for hours.

Call daughter WTF were you doing on the phone for hours. You owe me a lot of money. All good dad, I thought it would be a lot but the boyfriend will pay.

I told her to let me know next time if there is a big bill coming as dear old dad nearly had a heart attack.

Hahaha haven't laughed so much in a long time. Some of these replies could be written about my place. 3 sons (all left home now) but we can relate to the replies. Oh by the way, they may have left home but they call in - raid the fridge - leave the margarine on the bench and the bread open - have a shower and leave the wet towel on the floor - oh dear it never ends. Oh and I forgot - when they do leave they their the crap they don't want to take in their room for it to be "minded" and currently we are "minding" a dog - big as a small pony - that has meant we have had to spend the money and time reinforcing fences so he can't get out AGAIN - AND PAID THE POUND FINES !! Oh and years ago we got sick of 3 boys not being able to "aim" properly in the toilet and peeing on the toilet seat all the time - answer - remove the toilet seat for a couple of weeks - their "aim" got better

Our 20 year old had to pay to have his dog at our place including 50% of a side fence to stop the dog getting out, when he didn't train it and it continued to chew up valuable stuff I arranged for the dog to be re-housed for a while. Hopefully he will decide that he does not want the responsibility of a dog and it can be rehoused permanently (as much as this will hurt me as I love the stupid animal). Funnily enough since I organised for the dog to leave (only last Sunday) the son has not objected to anything I have organised.

Having said that, I love him to bits and would not swap him for anything in the world, just wish he would move out of home and develop a sense of responsibility.

Love my kids to bits, they're both sons, 31 & 29. The youngest & I sadly don't have a very good relationship, this might change when he loses the chips on his shoulders.

I recall when they were teenagers, the old bloke in the house next door, a day or so after we moved in, telling me that my boys were pouring petrol in the gutter and setting it alight.

The little angels looked angelically at me as they shook their heads, and I told the old fellah, I didn't think MY boys would do something like THAT. Only to find out half an hour later that they had!

Then another time, mother in bed not feeling well, boys (12 & 10) & I watching Bill Cosby's Ghost Dad, and Mstr 12 says midway through, "hey dad, how come some penises look different to others?"
