Interesting topic....fans......not sure how the mexicans go, but in NSW, we rarely have a hot night camping....not by 10pm or later ?I could imagine in northern queensland it might be muggy of a night.....but in those conditions, does a fan make a lot of difference ??
Sirocco, just buy one
x2Sirocco FanSimply the best.
Fantastic fans are a good option as they have an opening hatch and can either pull air in or out with variable speed.Buy one from the states though they are way to much here
Don't really like the directional nature of little fans.
Not to mention the price...
Worth every penny.
One of these ones or a different cheap one?
?? I thought NSW were the Mexicans ?? .. you know, 'south of the (Old) border'...
Ha ha, no, NSW is the centre of the universe.....hell, the Queenslanders haven't even came into the 21st century yet...still don't have daylight saving.. !!
Has anyone had any experience with these 12v ceiling fans, with the weather heating up I thought they might be a good way of keeping cooler in the camper, they seem cheap enough at $12.58ea but nut sure how much they would hurt when you accidentally put your hand in one. They have a diameter of 50cm and a draw of about 0.7A so I think that would probably suit a camper. They do sell ones with speed controllers for about double the price (which is still cheap) and would probably be safer as you could turn it down to a suitable speed but I am guessing that they are just a variable resistor and, it would be more energy efficient (and cheaper) to build one using a little PWM controller like one of these and put it in a box like this
How much air we talking? Just a little that you have to lie next to or a good breeze at the end of the bed?
How much is a cranky wife worth? We've got two Siroccos and they are awesome
