Extreme Collectors Season 1 Ep. 8 Toronto.

Just finished watching this on Ch. One Melb.
Cadillac's all over the joint, some very rare one-off's.
Even one reputed to belong to Johnny Cash.
All in almost pristine condition.

good to see someone saving all this from the scrap merchants.

Lots of stuff (100 in total) went to Auction on Saturday.... A9X Torana, @ $250,000, was the highest price one of the fleet.

Even though its a survivor build from those days, I reckon I'd be putting it back to std front end panels pretty quick if I had it .

Brisbane car enthusiast Mr Harris and his son, Craig, have put together one of Brisbane's best collections of Ford race cars at a shed in Eagle Farm over the past 17 years

Cars pulled over $1.6 million..     $430.000 For a Falcon two door group C car,  XD / E Group C  cars $200 + K .. Interestingly though the couple of Group C Ford Capri's in the photos weren't in the auction . might have been on loan to the museum .

A few years after the Greens Tuff Bathurst stack. Sims Metal got the wrecked body shell from Dick and scrapped it.  Most of the metal chunks from the shredding were turned into paper weights.

A mates got one. Might be worth a pretty penny now?

Yeah, I've still got one of those paper weights myself. I  wonder if it is worth maybe $100 these days?

A mate and myself attended the Nambour swap meet yesterday. Its been about 25 years since I've been to one too and I reckon some of the sellers are the same folks from way back when.

This was a bit odd huh..... lots, and I do mean lots, of stall holders had magazines for sale.
I had no interest and didn't look at any....until, about 30 minutes before we left, I noticed a guy had about 10 or so mags in a pile with an old 83 issue of Custom Rodder on the top.

I bent down, flicked through maybe 6 or 7 magazines and went, there she is and pulled out a mag from the pile.
Noel looked at me a bit puzzled when I said, that's my car.

I bought the mag for $5.00 and as we walked off, Noel asked which car was like mine.
I held the book up and said, this one is mine and showed him the custom Mk 2 Zypher on the cover.  ;D 

The feature was there in all its glory on page 39 and another shot of it in a car show a more pages in.  8)

Possibly one of  the ugliest customs to ever grace a magazine i'm afraid, living proof, you should never change the style mid  stream.
Christ, that's another story for another day.

I bid on one on eBay 10 years back. Stopped at about $30 and it sold for just over $40.

No matter how many times Ive watched that bit of footage, I still cringe and get goose bump chills as Dicky clips that wall and goes off into the trees .
Nothing like the sound of a  big Carbed old Skool V8  full throated growling roar at high revs echoing across the country side . Injected donks just dont sound the same .
