On a cool day with all the windows open those drivers would have been cooking, Wonder how many times the old girls vapour locked on the climbs ...  Even in low low I'd be praying to the gods for the brakes to last on the down hill sections

The brigade I'm in still has our Blitz, its still driveable, though the brakes need some work. Open top. It was still being used during Ash Wednesday fires.
