Got in earlier this evening, done in less than 1/2 a beer. Somewhat disappointed as I thought they would want to know a lot more about me!

Just relax and do it at work tomorrow.  Did ours earlier tonight and it took 10 minutes max.

Everyone trying to do it at once has obviously found the weak link in the system.  Just take your time and do it before you forget how many kids you have.....

It'll take'em so looong to work out who did and who didn't submit the info., it'll be time for the next Census, or the one after that.

Too right jeffr!! >:D
Logged on around 7ish, completed less my street number and no names, used spaces instead, they do not need to know this info, but bit by bit they keep taking our liberty, ABS has no need for names or actual street numbers, it's a matter of principal to me. Planning around population growth, where to put infrastructure etc etc doesn't require names and addresses!
Went to submit...... And as I expected and had told the wife, Crash!!!! No go, locked up not saved or submitted.

What a cluster!!!
Especially after the interview I heard to the other day, " tested the systems we have in place and there will be no problems" lmao! They think we have great Internet, nothing on what they have overseas!

cheers,
Luke

All these issues, and people want to vote in the next federal election from home, via computer. I think this shows that, if it aint broke, dont try to fix it.

The wife got into the site at about 7pm last night, completed and submitted without any dramas (so she says). Got the email receipt to advise that all completed.

Interestingly we never received any info in the mail about the log in but instead a person knocked on the door on Saturday and gave us the manual form and the info sheet. Haven't heard on the radio of this occurring anywhere else though. Lot more efficient and hassle free in my view

Did ours no probs , but one has to wonder why it seems 80 % of questions relate to ethnicity/race , perhaps the multi-cultural industry trying to find ways of continuing on in their tax payer funded sincures for another 100 years ?

A lot of info can be got from other sources, but if you are trying to understand demographic composition, migration patterns etc. you need to ask the questions to get info which generally aren't available from other sources. Producing such stats that the fact the immigrant labour participation rate is 77 per cent, which is above the national average rate of about 65 per cent.

Like it or not Australia is a nation of migrants - almost half of all Australians were either born overseas or have at least one parent who was. Virtually no Australians alive today can dispute having at least one foreign ancestor.

We attempted to do it online, gave up after the first attempt to log in and filled in the paper version. I fail to see the point of around half the questions asked as most of those could be answered from my tax return ;D

Why do you need a stamp for it?
Should be a prepaid blue envelope to return it in with a window on the back.
