Drove from penrith back up in to the mountains this morning and there was enough dickheads to last a decade. Can only imagine how many more would be in holidays!
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Mates went through there just after that happened ...reckoned the crowd of onlookers there were half the problem, wankers wouldn't get out of their way so they could drive over the rocks. They drove back via Freshwater Track to avoid the crowd there a second time.

For those who have never been there before, it shows how quick it changes from wet sand to 18 inches of sea water too.

i was up at the lagoons at Double Island yesterday mate, we had a massive area pretty much all to ourselves, and a great day with kids playing free of the idiots. Where you come out on the Leisa Track it was like a refugee camp they were all on top of each other, same with the point area itself.  We did watch a few people give their 4wd's near bonnet deep salt water baths crossing a tiny section of the lagoon we were at, which was amusing to watch...amazing the stupid things you see some people do at times.

I did notice the big scrum pack down there Mal.
We were directly opposite the tack, so as you drove down it and before making the hard left or right, we were straight in front beside the ocean where there were munchkin friendly waves for body boarding.
Few folk drove around behind us, but the crowds were elsewhere.

Saw that  ???

Also noticed that the driver of the tow car didn't get out & check the way the snatch strap was being hooked up to his car - don't know if he already had a recovery hitch mounted, or if the cast of thousands of helpers just used the tow ball?

we were there for the entire high tide period (arrived an hour and half before and left several hours afterwards), so that area went under yesterday. Nobody could get access to the area we were in once high tide hit, we were cut off either side of us. Stopped in and saw Firefox on the run home, he mentioned no beach at all to drive on out front of his camp at hightide yesterday.

and there's about 2 metres left of beach space now.. Waves right up to top of beach, so you have to pick your line, but still plenty of people willing to drive through the surf :)..
