Great/huge numbers turned out for the dawn service in the mid mountains which is great to see, plenty of kids too.  :cheers:

Huge turn out in Seymour  pre dawn had to park 1/2km away , service Very well done . Gunfire breaky at the RSL them home for 10.30am service  :cup:

Attended the Shepparton Dawn service, started raining prior/during the service only adding to the occasion, more people then iv seen there in previous years by quite a few.

Thanks Jim I had it cleaned and have it on a thickish gold chain. Just always thought should I have it on a ribbon. I would be like you about the black ribbon if that is how he wore it.

A huge turn out in our little country town of Willunga SA, more than double the attendance of previous years, great to see.

However, many people disappointed that the preacher running the service preaching to fear of Islam in our country," its in our backyard". There is a time and place for everything but that was not the appropriate time to slag off Islam in front of many children when this day is for remembering the ANZAC's who fought and died for their country.

Attended the Dawn service at Charleville, good numbers there both young and old, great to see all ages showing their respects to the ANZAC's

Went to the local service at Brighton SA, enormous turn out.
Julia Gillard didn't make it to the march to the service, she appeared in a rush after proceedings had started even though she was supposed to be one of the dignitaries at the front of the parade.
She lives just around the corner about 4 minutes walk away, probably had to get her hair done :)

I did not attend the dawn service in Canberra but staggered to hear it reported that over 120,000 people attended - 1/3 of Canberra's population - although buoyed by interstate visitors. Last year was 37,000.  This is amazing.

Attended the small town of Kalbar's Dawn service with my family this morning and then the street parade in the town of Rosewood. Huge turn outs of people at both events, seems lots of people who don't normally attend these events have put the effort in this year being it's the 100 year commemoration. Will put a pic up later when I get a chance, but will say the cenotaph at Kalbar is very nicely done and more impressive then I'd expect such a small country town to have had.

The Biggest attendance I've seen in the 18 odd years(bar a couple) that I've attended the dawn service in our small town of Lawrence, a population of 1200 odd people, there were some saying that 300 or so people were there.
From the service men & women followed by a few of the primary school kids marching to the cenotaph in the fog, the last post being played with a red Sun Rise reflecting on the river and the laying of wreaths, it was a very moving experience to share with so many locals and visitors.

Disappointing to hear, no need for that.  the minster at ours spoke how a Turkish family befriended him when they visited Gallipoli and shared stories of each others families and the bond that felt they shared with Australia. It was a great story.

I got replica ADM and National medal mounted and at a good price a few years ago. I can't remember how much.
I've also had ribbon bars made up ~8mm high ribbon for day to day wear on uniform  for about $5-10 per ribbon.

Had a dawn service at the beach in Mackay about 150m from my place. First time at beach. Someone said 10k people  might be generous.  But good turnout just the same.

Me and my grandad go for a row with 99 other boats. And the wreath that was presented to us during ceremony just before we went out to sea again to lay it at see.
