So, we've moved into a new place, and there is a wood burner (woo hoo!) but no wood storage area... However, there is a selection of spare bits of colourbond from the construction of the house... and I have the lid from my Kanga trailer to use as a roof
We have:
- Kanga Lid: 2100mm x 1250mm
- Long colourbond: 2350mm x 510mm (2 of)
- Mid Colourbond: 610mm x 850mm (ribs on the 610mm) (9 of)
- Short Colourbond: 410mm x 850mm (ribs on the 410mm) (2 of)
The trailer lid is good as it has a pitch on it, and around the edge are 50mm flats, so easy to mount to something.
My thoughts are:
-Star picket and timber frame (low cost, can salvage some star pickets from a mate) or
-Proper post and timber construction
Any comments from others on this plan? It was spurred on by Scraps wood shed designs.
