What! I had serviced the trailer, taken up body building and was looking forward to the big trip to come and help. Looks like it will have to wait until 2017 now. ;D

Fired up the saw bench this morning. Needed to cut up some stuff and also top up the pig wood pile in preparation for a trip or 2.

The greater the density, the 'harder' the timber. In the context of this forum, that means that the harder timbers give off more heat, which is why the desert timbers are so great to cook on & get warm by.

I like the red gum because it leaves next to no ash. But in the colder months the box wood burns warmest and is easier for me to get!

Got my hands on a swing saw this year I'm looking forward to trying out (just don't tell the OHS bloke  :D ). I just need some big stuff to try it on.
