The Hume Hwy  was closed today due to floods  at Glenrowan water  over the road . Traffic was diverted via GV Hwy from Seymour  to Gods knows where .. l recorded 18MM of rain till 6PM  & its still coming down  .
Sent it Down Hughie,,,,,,,,,  as it slows the fire risk in District 22 & that's a really good thing   .                            :cup:
Be safe out there Swaggers                          :cup:

Seems wet everywhere else, but glad I didn’t bother packing the ark after the media forecast armageddon occurring here this week, a poultry 2.3mm falling here thus far, barely enough to settle the dust of our very brown yard. Good to read reports of places out West getting a drink, but a massive rain fail here. Chance we may get something in a few days time from Ex Owen, but will believe it when I see it.

Yep, supposed to be 4 days running of 50-60mm each day :D

2 days down & we're at 3.7mm :'(

Looks like I'm going to have to top the pool up, because I don't think the rains going to do it :'(

35mm up this way, good storm in the early hours this morning and just started more showers again now.

Anyone pegging their hopes on a Cyclone traveling over 2,000km in 48 hours and landing in their back yard should have a bit of a look at themselves.
Not mentioning the wildly erratic paths that most cyclones take, but just the fact that the thing was still sitting in the gulf on Friday and people were saying Brisbane was going to cop it on Monday.... Hmmm.....???

100mm near Imbil so far, The Cyclone will not affect us itself, but does create conditions right down the east coast to make it rain, Craig

Just zigzagged our way between storms on a flight to Sydney.
Hopefully we get a good lightning show looking out from the revolving restaurant tonight. ;)

Halifax near Ingham has recorded 653mm overnight and this morning.

Perhaps some of those Mexicans that choke the northern highways over the winter months should hang around and see what real rain looks like... ;)

Hoping today we some decent rain today, would be nice to crack double figures at least from this week that the media hyped was supposed to deliver triple figure rainfall (which it has elsewhere, but huge let down here).

Photos updated | Grays Point residents with extensive damage caused by small but intense storm cell

Trees and branches crashed on to houses, swimming pools and cars during the storm, with the extent of the damage revealed on Sunday morning.

One huge tree fell on a house metres from a bedroom where a girl was sleeping.

At 3pm on Sunday, SES Sutherland Shire reported 250 calls for assistance following the storm.

”We have eight storm damage teams and  three RFS teams active today, who are working hard to assist and complete as many requests for assistance as quickly and safely as possible, with an impact assessment currently being completed in Grays Point,” the SES said.

“In order to keep our hard working volunteers safe, any power lines that are down need to be isolated before we can commence working. We appreciate your patience.

“All community members are reminded to treat all fallen power lines as live and stay at least 8m away.

“If you have received storm damage and need help, call NSW SES on 132 500 for assistance.”

SES Sutherland Shire volunteers were shocked by the destruction.
