I only just of this now, from a neighbour, there are people isolated on properties across the whole of the Clarence Valley.
Waters are slowly dropping, but closer to the coast, high tides will be watched closely.
Our eldest Daughter lives in Yamba, they were given a notice to Isolate yesterday, as the Yamba road was cut at Palmer's island Bridge.
Fysh has been going to work in Grafton, a 54km trip instead of the usual 26km.
I had a regular elderly client yesterday ask, could I attend to a sticky door, when I explained, I'll find someone for her, because it's 120km trip each way, 240km round trip, she don't realise how much of the Valley is in flood.
ABC News is reporting that the Clarence River is still a concern, if more rain falls, especially the upper rivers, around Drake. Tabulam.
Talking at post office this morning with a local farmer, there is still a lot of water to enter the system from rivers such as the Orara, The Mann and all her rivers, The Nymboida, The Boyd, The Guy Fawkes, the list is huge.
Then we have Sportsman's Creek, that flows past Lawrence, water this morning was rushing out of it.
Then there is the Coldstream River & Shark Creek, the lower Clarence Then has the effects of high tides.
This link to the rivers on the north coast is a useful tool for many.
The river height at Lillydale, near the bottom of the list, is what many people use as to how high the Clarence gets at Grafton. Click on the highlighted PLOT to the right of where it says the gauge(Lillydale)
You will see it peaked at Sunday noon, but it starting rise again.
