Always amazes me how fuel is 5 cents a litre cheaper at Aratula compared to Brisbane also...crazy
They make up for it with the price of the cartons of grog

forgot beer on the way to Gordon Country last year, pulled into the aratula pub there and got 2 cartons. From memory they were about $70 each for Hahn Super Dry. More the fool me for forgetting the beer
Anyway, back from Sandy Creek Campin!
First time there. It was a nice spot. We camped down by the creek bed. Saturday was HOT. not too much breeze in that gully. The people camping up near the amenities seemed to have a steady breeze all day. Nights cooled off perfectly.
All in all, a great weekend away with the family. We hit the 4x4 tracks for a bit of a play. The kids enjoyed swinging on same rope someone else had kindly left in the tree and then walked up to the "swimin'ole" for a look. It was a bit murky as the water is not flowing all that well at the moment. Would love to go back there when there is a decent flow happening.
There was not a lot of campers there, but i dont think it would take a lot of trailers to make the place look busy. Would be interesting to see that place chock-a-block if the MySwag Nat. Meet was held there.
Anyway, some pics of the weekend
One of the tracks, they were good fun to kill an hour or 2!

Creek is running a bit low on the ol H20

Good Shady Camp spots
