Arid lands botanic gardens outside of Port Augusta on the highway to Woomera is worth a visit, coffees pretty good at the cafe.

Yep we know - we were there about 18 months ago and are planning to take a break there again.

G'day Moeite,

Not sure where you will be staying in Woomera, but would be interested in your thoughts if you are staying at the Caravan Park. We had a very interesting experience when we stayed there for an over nighter a couple of years ago. I believe that the Manager is still the same as when we were there. The positive was the Bar at the Caravan Park sells the cheapest drinks in Woomera. Good luck!!!!!!

Yep, same manager. We have no problem with him at all. We’ve been here a few times before and we’ve never had any issues with him.

Fndng something to do for the next week could be interesting though. I can think of much worse places to stuck for the duration though.

Well, it ain’t too flash bot not grim like it was last week at Stonehouse Bay on the tip of the York Peninsula…..that was horrible. Really, really wet and windy enough to blow the paint off a fence.

Highway camp on Gascoyne north of Meekatharra. After 10 days of Pilbara sunshine it rained (sort of) in Newman today and it’s quite chill tonight.
Not looking forward to returning to the south west on Monday.  >:(

We spent a couple of days in a chalet overlooking the beach in Abersoch in north Wales. The right hand island is where Bear Grylls lives.

Today we are back at our static in mid Wales. I'm in the little white box in the centre of the pic.

Me and the cat going for a walk.
