Fitted a 2nd hand steering box into the Tug, old one hemorrhaged the input shaft seal this morning, dropped its guts out all over the shops car park.

Following the completion of:
Rear diff lock install with all new seals and bearings
A 2nd hand steering box install.
New brakes pads all round.
n epic compressor install
A service on better half's car
And a full bathroom rebuild, including new walls.
repairs to more bikes than we own.
I went in search of my shed,
Only took 2 days, I found it all.  :cheers:

Nothing exciting from me as usual but my 25+ year old compressor was getting a little worse for wear so I gave her a tidy up. I still need to find/make a cap for the capacitor thingamajig on top of the electric motor but she is flying now with new bearings, fresh oil and a paint job.  Sorry for the poor phone pic and not getting the other side that would have shown more of her restoration but you get the idea ;)
Yes I could have easily replaced it with a $500 chinese 15cfm compressor over the years but this old girl has resprayed 100's of cars/bikes and served me well since I was a lad.

I am regretting not doing a before and after pic. It was very very shabby before I rebirth her. I even had my wife duplicate the stickers on her crafty cutting machine, I think it completes the deal :)

With aerosol cans! LOL Although I do have one of those small 'super cheap/bunnings/chinese $80 compressors as well that I could have used if I wanted to use the spray gun ;)

Same here cleaned the camper,it was covered in dirt after my trip home from Winton.
I had to fold it out as well as we packed up in the rain and cold (4 deg ambient in sunny Queensland)    ???.
The drive home I never turned of the wipers for 750klm so I also gave the Nisota a bath as well.
Although I did sit on 90 all the way up through the lynd junction road even though it was a gravel road. >:D

After having no hi beam and only half my auxiliary lights working for the last month or so, I decided to have a crack at getting it all up and running again. Frist port of call was a fuse and connector check. Next I dismantled the steering column cover and combo switch. Pulled the headlight dipper switch apart and cleaned up the contacts. Refitted it all and tested all good. Then I removed my Hella 4000 HID's, which I'd not long put back on after fitting new lenses and hid kits to, and fitted up a set of those 9inch LED spots that 4wd Supacentre sell. It was a very tight fit on my Xrox bar but got them on in the end. These are my second set as I also put a set on the Pajero a couple of months back.
Tomorrow I will pull the steel cable of the winch and replace it with rope which I've had sitting tucked away for about 8 months.

Not that I have a shed anymore.....

I cut long lengths of timber into shorter similar lengths of timber.   

Some timber I reverted back to wood.

I found the drop saw works quicker than the hand saw but can't work out how to get the drop saw to make those finer cuts for the timber joints so I got to enjoy and the hand saw.

Trying to make a stand for a piece of exercise equipment for the bride to use when getting down to floor level is easier than getting back up from floor level.  Most of the cutting is done and the rough fit out looked a bit like the rough sketch I did to work out what I may need. 

Hopefully tomorrow after visiting the blue or green shed for more timber (will have to be the right timber for those bits), a small router and the right screws and bolts it may be closer to being ready to be painted, stained or just estepoled.

Doing up an old Holden and can't afford the stupid asking price of a 10 bolt Salisbury diff to suit, (hate to think how many I've binned over the years  :'(  ) so I made one out of an old Camaro diff   ;D

Hopefully find the time to clean it up and paint over the weekend, then start saving for new gears, a new centre, bearings, brakes.........  :'(
