I forgot to put this up last weekend, I was doing a couple of final touches today & it reminded me.
I took the tub off the ute & put a tray on it. When it comes to this kind of stuff, I'm bloody hopeless. At first, it looked like it was done by a bloke with no idea because it was.
It's starting to come along now, I just need to mount the fuel filler & cut the head board down so it's not so high.

I hope you upgraded the crappy nuts and bolts those things come with. We used to just chuck the whole bag of nuts and bolts out and fit decent ones instead.

Not in the cave but on the cave today. I cleaned the lichen off the skylights. Now It is bright and sunny in there again.
Does anyone know something to kill the lichen and stop it growing back?

Which ones? It came with a bag of M6 stainless with nylex nuts for the accessories & M12 stainless with nylex nuts for mounting the tray. I hope they're ok, I've been using them...

If they were stainless, they might be OK, but they are normally just ZP and very soft steel.

Got an old chair from the auction house so my daughter can use it as a dance prop. $10 is what I paid. Spent a couple of hours in the cave and rebuilt it to be sturdy, added a new seat and painted ready for the topcoats tomorrow.

A few years ago I was given a bench grinder by a mate who was moving to a unit. Using it yesterday arvo I thought to myself that I really should attach the guides, safety shield etc.
I have just spent the last hour & a bit trying to attach them, with no success.
I phoned said mate for some advice & was told that he couldn't fit them either as they're the wrong attachments for that model grinder. I then posed the question as to why the hell he gave them to me then & he just laughed! Bastard!

Hi Noel,

I am not trying to make the Old Girl look like new, because she is like any older woman,  (needs a lot of make up to make them look younger) but I just thought that I would buy her a new dress and get her hair done.

There are still a few bumps and warts , but all in all the old Girl has served me well and although I did consider upgrading to a late Y61 shape, I have decided to give her a make over and keep what I have .
