Bathroom, rather than shed, but couldn't think of where else to put it
In the process of replacing the flick mixer tap in the bathroom, as it's been getting very stiff & hard to use, which usually means the cartridge is shot.
Was just going to replace the cartridge, but when I had a look underneath the basin, one of the braided hoses has a rusty patch on it, which means that's also on the way out, so lets put a new tap in, instead
Went in to TradeLink to pick one up, chatting to the lady as she's putting it through & mentioned about the hose. She said that they've been told by Insurance people, that if a hose bursts, flooding your house, & the hose is more than ~5 years old, they will probably knock the claim back, on the grounds of not being maintained!
So, if you've got braided hoses under your sinks & basins, please check & replace them regularly!
