Details please edz, cause I thought braided was the only thing available these days ???

You should be replacing the Flexi hoses with these however you are limited with the hoses fitted to sink mount taps as they have a different tail and last time I spoke with the abbey rep they didn’t have any to fit given the variations in thread size, and engagement length.

PEX Pipe [ Red and Blue ] with compression fittings is what the plumber guy used from memory, He reckoned its the only stuff he realy uses these days ..Not sure what it costs, landlord got that bill .
One other trick he did was fit inline cut off  tap to each of the lines, So that if we get a leak or need to do a tap washer / reduce or increase water pressure to a tap we can adjust it or turn the water off in the cupboards under the taps ..

Thanks fellas - are you both talking about the same stuff ???

Individual stop-cocks was another one the lady at TradeLink mentioned, & carrying on from that, she also said that whenever they go away on holidays, every one of those taps is turned off at the wall!

The taps in the link will automatically shut off in the event that a Flexi hose bursts however you can just use a mini cistern cock if you want to easily isolate the fixture

Hi Swaggers,
Need to hide all this crap on the breakfast bar.
Can't do much with NBN box on the wall, but the router, external drive and the power board for usb chargers looks a mess.
Thinking about something under the bench, maybe a cluster of sub ports like a PowerPoint face.
Second pic is what have over the other side of the kitchen in the cnr, for two usb ports.
Looking for some inspiration.
Cheers

Pop up power points. Or install in overhead cupboard and drop down. Clean look when not in use but from my experience always left with cords attached. Last pics not Aussie but gives you a look at install method.

It is a lot of gear. What about something like a breadbox to hold it all? Could tuck it all away or just have the cords poking out when in use? In our study we have it all mounted on pegboard with cable ties at the back of the desks. The desks are similar to dining tables.

I quite like the wall cavity idea. You could chuck a door on it and it would hide it all away.

Hi giys,
Cheers you've given me some food for thought.
The pop up power is great, but the power to the Router and external HD and NBN unit needs to be connected 24/7.
The wall cavity cupboard would work, being a Chippy that's an easy do, just that the router signal needs to be open(maybe able to get a cable aerial extension), maybe a Wi-Fi booster(another power plug) would fix that.
The bread box would work, again would the WiFi work behind it?

Again, thanks for your ideas.
Cheers

As long as the walls aren't metal, it will work OK. But be careful of heat build up if any of the components run warm already, and it's a small unventilated space. My FTTC connection box (different to yours) runs ridiculously hot, just sitting on a shelf.

Yeah, that's why they've been left on the bench, always been concerned about the heat that they produce.

How about a shelf under the bench with 3 - 4 of the combo double GPO / USB units for power supply so all the mess & untidiness is out of sight, then bring just the end of each charging cable up between the wall & the bench top, so all you see are the phones themselves & only a few cm of cable ???

Replaced the water pump and all belts and hoses on the Patrol.
Cleaned out the radiator while it's out.
It's something that gets done every 10 years or so.

Had 1 thermostat housing bolt that wanted to gall and play hard to get.
Hadn't been touched since it left the factory 21 years ago. It liked where it was.
Ran a tap down the thread and it seems to be holding OK.
Will know for sure tomorrow when the coolant goes in and it comes up to temp.

Ah, the joy of old cars.... ;D

The joys Geoff,
Love my old 80, she's 30 years young in February. 487000k's.
Nearly 4000k's early last month on our trip.
Service her, look after her, she looks after us.
Wouldn't swap her quids.
Travel safe mate.

Backing up a bit....

While it's all apart, I might replace the A/C pulley bearing and the belt idler/tensioner bearings.
I replaced the alternator bearings a year or so ago...all good there.
The P/S pump is very easy to access, so it can wait until needed.

Thanks Hairs, starting to get repeat customers which is very satisfying, my daughter has now created a Facebook page which she looks after as I don’t do Facebook. That is also generating some customers.

A mates wife does the FB thing for him.
They sell at three local markets, one in Lismore, the rest of his sales/business comes from the FB page.
I wish you all the best in this, well done.
Here is some of his work, OzMarks Creations.
