Charged the batteries on 3 of our 4 cars.

We're in lockdown, and they haven't been driven for months.

Starting to pack up my shed (and house) as the owner is selling an I have to vacate. The wheely bin is getting a thorough workout and FB marketplace is working overtime.

Yep. Hopefully my last move except for a pine box.
Will be busy playing Tetris fitting it all in a 20ft container.

I know I'm a bit out of the way but, I have got a bit of space in my bottom shed, if you need it.

Not really today but here a few little projects I have been tinkering with in my shed lately.

I learnt how to acid etch nameplates. I painted my bench grinders so I wanted plates on them, amongst some other things in the shed.

I also made one for my old drill press but I didn't etch it, I just clear coated the stencil. None of them worked perfectly but I like that it looks authentic given that I only buy older machinery that was well built back in its day.
And I made some personalised nameplates to stick on things I make just as a bit of a wank more than anything ;)

My 2x72" sander and large vice is a good example lol

And of course the grinders is why I decided to learn how to do it

Now I can acid etch my control panel for my old South Bend Lathe. I made the control panel to be a little bit authentic because I put a 3ph motor on my lathe and run it through a VFD. So instead of having the big VFD in the way, I have that hidden under the bench...hence this panel.

And thats about it lately. I have a few larger projects coming up soonish to show hopefully.

Thanks Steve, will let you know if I end up needing it. A very generous offer thanks mate.

Not quite in the shed, but close enough ... ;D

We got home from a week's camping yesterday, but I had to fix a problem with the van's awning, so left it out in the street overnight.

Sorted the problem this morning, then decided to Karcher off the van pad, before bringing the van back in.

Mrs had gone to shops, came home when I was half done & the first thing she said was "Nice job. Where's your ear protection" ???

I thought Don't really need it just for Karchering ::), but grabbed a set of muffs & you know what ???

She was right!!! :o

Made the job much more bearable :-[

So the moral of the story is always use 'em! ;D
