Kit_e - you should be here at the moment. We never get storms up here, but all afternoon there's been thunder and lightning. Not as good as a SEQ summer storm, but pretty impressive for us. It's amazingly dark outside.
Jeepers - thanks for the update mate. We're all very excited, so I'm sure it'll be fine regardless.
Thanks for the offer re: Inskip, but I have a feeling that we'll be able to manage on our own. Both the car and the camper will be going over pretty heavy, so I'm sure I'll manage to put it on it's belly pretty quickly. I might not do it as gracefully as you though - sounds like you've put in a lot of time practicing. Getting bogged at Inskip was less scary for us than taking the barge from River Heads and then dealing with the inland tracks straight off the bat. Time will tell if that's a wise decision.
In other good news, Bundy are releasing a special edition range of flood-relief rum on the day we're due to come off the island. Only going to be sold at the bondstore. I was going to call in on our way back north anyway, this just seals the deal
. Spend some coin in the local economy, hopefully help the place get back on it's feet. Also, rum.
Cheers,
Matto
