lOl JC I know right, whats with this bloody weather lately..... one min it's 50,000,000 deg the next it's freezing or pissing cats n dogs we are wanting to set the camper up today to double check everything is right for next week but I'll be buggered if I do it with rain threatening, lol I took the weekend off work to get this all sorted and so far all I've achevied is picking up the new fridge and getting mildly drunk whilst looking at it do it's thing, turns out it's a bit like watching paint dry :)

i wouldn't complain about the rain myself, i'm in a doughnut hole on the Southside of Brisbane and we've had very little rain in the last 3 months, i'm hoping it buckets down so the lawn can stop being brown and crispy.

Oh crap, I'm frantic now, trying to get everything mowed on time before Friday.

Went screaming past where i keep the CT and thought to myself....
"self, it might a good idea if ya picked it up and took it home sometime before you leave"

I ordered the meat today, the Tin Can butcher does sh!thot meat hey, really really good, but it is reflected in the price too.
I got 2 really wild, kickarse chops that weighed in at over 1 kilo for the two of 'em.... Can't wait to wrap the ol laughing gear and false teeth around those babies, along with some very nice steaks, chichen schnitzels, bacon, pork chops, the works.

I even looked after the wife, after i ordered all my stuff, i splurged and got her some budget snags and rissoles from the IGA.
I can't get her anything too fancy, or she'll be wanting it everytime.

Hmmm, might pick up the CT tomorrow me thinks and chuck the ol fridge onto the house power to get it cool.

Only 4 sleeps to go and we are gunna sail over that soft Inskip sand so damm well it will shock people.
Be my luck i won't be able to stop in time and I'll hit the barge.

Hmmm, not happy.....

weather site show we gunna get a high chance of rain for 3 days, medium chance of rain for two and 1 fine day.

The worse part is, pack up day is a high chance jobbie. Thinking of being a sook and holding off for a fortnight.

Its ok, if we don't go, we just move everything along by a fortnight.

We'll still be going, one way or another, just the dates may vary. You can do that when its only 30 minutes away to Inskip Point.

They've been saying that since August  ;D

But if it's going to rain ANYWHERE, it'll rain on the Eastern Beach and Inskip Point !!

Well we had five Black cockies in the trees in the back yard yesterday.. So the saying goes 5 days of rain on the way ... Well it did rain today ........................................................................................enough to leave a few spots on the cement for a minute or two, and not a rain cloud in the sky five minutes later .

Have a good trip.

Its not just the rain, we're getting a 30 knot wind on Sunday from the southeast, so it'll be hammering the beachfront.

Now that JC, really is a pain to try and set up in,After our trip in July with 30 knot + winds for the third year in a row.
Thats why our soft floor camper is now no longer and a pop top is in the planning stages to be ready for next years trip .

Hey Edz, yeah, the main thing is, i wanna have a really good time and wind and rain doesn't come into that for me.

Being self employed, its easy enough to give myself some time off in three weeks.
The lack of rain so far, has the mowing thing not as busy as it should be and if i'm going to spend money on barges and stuff, i want my monies worth. (yeah, i'm a tightarse)

I have no doubt we'll cop bad weather at some point, thats a given, but if i can skirt it, why not.

The really bad part is, i've got all this grog and thats not gunna keep for three weeks, so the next couple of days could get a bit, shall we say, festive...

Was going to be leaving about now too, so i'm hoping i've made the right call.

I hope is pours down rain now....

That's OK, the boats only 2.5 klm away sitting in the marina with 280 litres of fuel on board ready to roll.

Its showing that Tuesday and Wednesday might be pretty good, so its only a 20 to 30 minute run to Elbow point or Browns Gutter and throw the pick in the drink.

At least that this way, i get to visit Fraser still, as we can rubber ducky it onto the island.  ;D

Yesterday, i bought myself the loudest Hawaiian shirt you;ve ever seen with "Skipper" on the pocket, so I've gotta give that a test run too.
