Thanks Lifestyle Campers
« on: September 17, 2012, 12:33:01 PM »
Firstly I must state that I am in no way affiliated with this brand of trailer.

I dropped in today to have a look at lifestyle's showroom at Moss St, Underwood. Everyone was busy working away so I just started to have a look around. Before long Darren walked past and looked to be on a mission with some tent components in his hand and asked if I needed anything. Even though he looked busy he stopped and gave me a guided tour of the models I was interested in and also took me through the factory section actually showing me how they put the trailers together.

I was mainly interested to see the difference between the lifestyle Explorer (Chinse components) and the lifestyle 360 (Australian components). Darren, I felt, was very open in the difference between the two and what they have done to make an imported product they are happy to put their name behind.

Darren did not rush me in any way and spent a good 30-40 minutes answering some of my stupid questions while showing me around. I am still along way from handing over my hard earned but based off the customer service I received today I will have no hesitation in going back to see them, unlike some of the customer service I have received from other places. I must also state that I have only looked at their products and have not used them, this is simply a thank for great customer service today. To often its easy to rant when we have bad service and forget to say thank you when we get good service.

Jamie

I too recently bought a Lifestyle 360 Model camper ownly because we liked the quality and mainly because when my wife and I both went in to have a look around at there campers. Ian came out and gave us a good talking too about the ins and outs of pretty much every model they have in stock.

Now i will say we have had a few minor problems with the camper such as the water tank was leaking ( which was no hassle for them as it was a month old and replaced the tank free of charge) also the gas stove had a minor blockage in it which they repaired too. Also someone had wired the number plate light up wrong which kept causing the tail lights to blow all the time. when i brought it too there attention they had the trailer for almost 2 days and went over absolutely everything and i also went over everything with them and this was fixed without hesitation.

So if i was to ever buy another camper or  if i knew anyone that were in the market for a camper i would easily reccommend them to Ian at Lifestyle Campers.

I will also state that im not affiliated with them what so ever, Just 1 extremely happy customer.

Put my order in for one at the Penrith show and just finalised the order today.

We had seen Lifestyle at numerous shows and have always been impressed with the quality of their trailers.

So when it was time to buy we had them on our short list and they won out.

Looking forward to delivery now.

Have a look at custom line also.  Friend of mine searched for 12 mths and decision came down to lifestyle or custom line before ordering custom, said in his opinion canvas & build quality were comparable or slightly better but got more extras for the $.

They must have changed the models to compete with the imports. We have a 2006 Explorer Plus which we bought because its made in Aust and there are no Chinese components in it. Another reason we bought it is because its galvanised.
Its as solid as and is still going strong.

Blueroo they still have both an australian made and one with a high china content. The couple of china trailers I saw in the workshop when I was there on the same day as the poster of this thread were getting there a-frame welded on, axles and suspension fitted and the tent top mounted. I also spoke the Darren who wasn't at all pushy and I just told him I wanted to have a look at the difference also between the cheaper and the orignal ones. I am looking to buy next year. I also had a good look at the at-10 caravan that was half way being made what a quailty little van and all Australian.

I am keen after seeing the strength of the china walkthrough combined with all the important stuff fitted in Australia and at only $8950 should be a good trailer. I am keen to see if anyone on here has one yet. I still am going to have a look a couple more at some shows early in sydney next year but lifestyle is in front of the other trailer company I just called in for a look that day also.

Great to hear about the great customer service experiences, as people are quick to write about their bad experiences but no so much about the good ones.  Well done Lifestyle  :cup:

x 2 for Customline.  Ours came down to Lifestyle, Camel & Customline.  Quality, canvas, customer service & more for your money had us choose Customline.

Horses for courses.

I have to agree and that I was also very impressed with the Asian version, I particular liked how the Asian version was over engineered compared to the Australian one. What do I mean by this? Because lifestyle know that the steel is not to the same quality, all the areas that require welding have bigger mounting points, eg the bracket for mounting the suspension on the Asian version is twice as big as the same bracket on the Ozzie version so that larger welds can be used, this is the same for the draw bar and other areas. When comparing the two and optioning the way I want it works about $5000 cheaper so it's getting some serious consideration.

I have a walkthrough, and where taking it to Fraser today, I'll let you know how it goes

put up pics of it set up in the my camper trailer section once you get back and let us know, hope you have a good one.

I was also surprised to see how big the spring mounts were there bigger then my jayco which weight 3 times the amount empty and a ton more if both are full to there allowed capacity.
