There may be space for another , but at nearly 58 with two buggered knees , left hip replacement and a rebuilt/buggered right elbow ( 40 years of underground mining has not been kind to me ) I don't think so .  :'(

D4D the yellow GT is a very nice kit , he ( 13 year old ) started racing early this year on the far side silver bike ( another GT ) but he is fast out growing the frame and his times have improved greatly , so I bit the bullet and bought him this one .

The orange Redline is the bike that I bought from Chain Reaction a couple of weeks ago , my 10 year old granddaughter has decided to have a go and already is showing some good speed .

And the other Redline is a bike that my 7 years old grandson is racing .

I intend to do a full service and change out a few thing on the older GT and it will be kept for one of the younger ones as they grow into the bigger frame size .

I love the purity of BMX racebikes. My son was racing a Kuwahara when he was 7.

Duggie I've got that Scott pants/jersey outfit for sale, suits 10-14 depending on height (my son was very tall at 7...), if any of the grandkids need some kit. Paid $80 for it used in great shape, still in great  shape, you can have if for $50 inc postage if you like.

Here's the link for the Embolden, Page 8 has the sag settings etc. I'm not sure there'll be anything for the XTC, but have a dig around on the Giant website.

Glued up a silk tub today, on my disc wheel and I might give it a run on Friday night, at the Anna Meares Velodrome.  ;D

I think I've finally got my bike setup dialled in. During the week I fitted carbon bars, a 1x dropper post lever, and made the tyres tubeless. Took it out for a ride yesterday and really enjoyed it. The 1x lever is very good, I can use the dropper without moving my hand on the grip, it is just like changing gears. Had to fill the tyres with twice the amount of liquid to get them to seal. The carbon bars really take the jarring out of the ride. I need to buy a new bike now as I can't think of anything left to mod/change :)

That Merida looks like a ripper spec if you can get it for $3000. The only thing to consider is you'll need to setup the suspension really well if you do a lot of climbing as 150 is pretty big to push up hills, unless you're Sam Hill. It's coming into the season to buy as the 2018 models are coming out so bike shops will do silly prices to move the 2017 stock.

Upgraded my old Anthem to a Trek Fuel EX8 during the end of year sales in readiness to go to Alice and race The Redback in August. First ever stage race, can''t wait. As for the new bike, it is amazing, loving the 29r boost wheels, rolls super fast and smashes all my 26 inch Anthems CR's on the tight technical stuff.

I didn't like my ride yesterday afternoon in the rain.
It poured down, the roads were slippery.
I was very happy when I was under the shower to warm up.

I love my race bike, and here is one of my little pain cave where i do my bike maintenance and indoor bike sessions when I'm feeling too lazy to ride outside.  the race bike has Sram Etap technology, soooo good to use, Quarq power meter has been just installed, super short 162.5mm cranks and some new wheels have been ordered, going with some new Caden wheels, really impressed by all the reports about them.

haha, yes!  that saddle is the best saddle I've ever used, lets me ride for 6 hrs without a hint of discomfort, at any Ironman race you will see hundreds of these saddles on bikes...very popular for both male and female

I still love my old Brooks Conquest.

After riding it for a few months my arse was finally broken in to the shape of the saddle!  ;D

that was in 1993.

Still riding that saddle today.

Been around Australia on a big (slow) lap, up to the Cape, across the Simpson twice and a lot of commuting klms.
