We are back into the bikes again this year, bought a couple of base model FELT 70 29ers, enjoying the ride on them very much and the hyd. discs are magnificient, wouldn't/couldn't ride again w/o 'em !
Finding the bigger dia. 29er rubber rolls over track obstacles like rocks, sticks, limbs etc better than the long list of 26" MTB's in the past.
What are the fav wheel size these days for a mix of occasional (enroute to bush) bitumen, bush track and a "small" bit of single track thru the MTB bike areas, ie Blores Hill near Heyfield.
Also, see talk of dual suspension and "FLOAT UP TOUGH CLIMBS" on the Trance page, always thought the back suspension lost some power on uphill. Is that not the case with the latest duals. ?
Above all - enjoying the outdoors and the exercise !
Will put up a pic. of the stable (most of it) new and old shortly.
Missing is a 1991 Giant CFM3 Carbon frame 26", did thousands of K's on that bike back in the day
