why's it so ****ing difficult to find a 80-90mm stem with 1 1/8 steerer and 26mm bar ??

25.8 is old mtb, 26.0 is old road.
(we won't even talk about the Cinelli 26.4mm stuff)
Back in the days of both of those clamp diameters, anything shorter than 100mm was heresy. We were selling Control Tech and Ritchey and Syncros back then and the "big seller" lengths were 120, 130 and 140mm.
Just based of frame geometry back then... longer stems were needed for cockpit space.
