Help me choose from 3 tyres.

If you're going to change wheels to 17" then have a look at the BFG AT in 275/65/R17. I have these on my GXL and find them great. They're a bit wider than the standard 265's on the GXL and give a modest height increase of about 12mm if I remember correctly. Not to much higher to effect gearing and they look great. Spare tyre cover still fits on too.

Cheers, Sam.

Mickey T's.

Never had an issue with my MTZ's and the service from the guy's I purchased them from was great.

Cheers

Add my vote for the Bridgestone D694 LT.

Handle great on and off road. Love them

Cheers

GX rims are only 6.5in and not the 7.5 as on the GXL I would double check your rims before looking futher.

BFG A/T's.

I put the 265/65 R17 on my 2004 Prado last December and have done 26000 on them so far.

They look like they have hardly lost any tread.

The majority of our travel is bitumen but we did the Oodnadatta Track this year and have done some 4WDing in the High Country.

I had 4rib ATZ's on my Patrol and got 80000 out of them and probably had another 20000 in them (the tyre joint  bought them off of me). I now have MTZs and I reckon they are heaps quieter than the ATZs.

We have the ATZ 4 ribs - never had a puncture and I am very happy with them.

Why isn't the new Cooper ST Maxx on your list - I'm considering these for my next set.

Put these on in the last month on my 120 - $350 fitted - 14mm increase from the 265's. Jaxx Tyres did the best deals in Brisbane.

Local tyres are so expensive. It's $850au to get 4 brand new BGF ATs in that size delivered to your door from the US, almost half price.

Anyway, I'll probably get BFG ATs next up when my MTRs are worn out. I previously ran the BFGs and they're excellent on sand and look really good.

Cheers
