Please help me decide on colour for barwork POLL
« on: May 21, 2011, 07:59:50 PM »
As some of you may know I have had a fair share of bad luck lately. Due to the latest incident i need to repaint my bar work and as I always have trouble leaving things how they were I am considering a change.

Any comments welcome.

This is a picture of it colour coded

This is when it was black

Hi another option would be to go for a silver/grey colour , maybe even include the snorkle into this colour format. My two bobs worth.

Someone at work had that idea too but the wife wasn't too keen on the idea.

Although I am a Qld'er and my heart is maroon, I have to say that IMHO that the black looks better.

Well first off, you scared me with your reply to my towing a camper across the Simpson and you posted that pic. Had to tell you the Paj had no issues  ;D Teasing mate.

I like the black bar. I think the colour matched bar is to much. just IMO....

Here's one from left field, colour match to the wheel arch trim...a bit tricky.

I would go with the black. Easier to touch up stone chips, but the best idea would be ask SWMBO and go with that.
If you make the decission it will be wrong.

a little off topic, but might help you make up your mind. Folks have posted that paint is easier to touch up than powder coating, but my guys said powder coated items ca be touched up easily ad have ordered me a spray can of the same colour as they coated my rear bar.

Normally I think black is the right colour, but I do like the matched look on your rig.
