Burns leading the way again..

Really? Unfortunately, I think poor old Steve Smith is in the vanguard, with 2 runs from 3 long form matches!  :-[

Yep, done his dash now! I'm hoping Smith gets out of his slump as Australia will struggle without him performing. The selectors have got to persevere with him.

Was watching the news last night and the cricket came on before I could mute it.

The big bash stuff, is almost worth watching.

Has any team ever said fukk it, and treated a normal test like a big bash thing an just slogged the fukk out of the ball.

Not saying I would, but bugger me, I could almost be tempted to watch it if they did.

50 years today, in 1971, the first ever One Day International match was played, at the MCG.

Here's how it finished!

You have to feel for Will Petroloffzki - the amount of pressure from the media was incredible..

Listening to SEN on way to get lunch yesterday they were comparing him with the almighty...
Discussing record amounts of '3' runs instead of boundaries...

Then he got out and they kept going on him...

Why do the media put so much pressure on young people...

Yep we definitely rock at cricket

Good game I thought, I was there on Saturday and predicted a draw.

The Indians dug deep amd deserved the win and and series.

I struggle to see how an Aussie gets man of the series.

I thought is was a great game and great for Test cricket. I think an Aussie got it simply because so few Indian players were present throughout the series.

this didn't sit right with me either, to a degree...

but who in the indian team was consistent over the four tests?  hard to pick, when you look at the scorecards...

cummins was definitely up there, and easily our best over the four tests...

Usually goes to a player on the winning team.

the series was in AU....

so?

as previously stated, player of the series is normally on the winning team, regardless of location.  it normally is easy to highlight a player who has shone in the winning team.

in this case, as also previously highlighted, very hard to pick out one Indian who stood above consistently...

would be curious to hear from sports radio pundits who they actually thought should have got the award.

possibly Pant, but that's a stretch, compared to Cummins performance, which was excellent.

The Indians had a squad effort .  As one went down another stood up.  This series was won by the squad not one or two players brilliance.  The old cliche that a champion team will beat a team of champions runs so true.

LOLOL!

Queensland Police landed a cruel sledge on social media as the tourists’ brittle batting order fell to pieces.

“Queensland Police are launching an investigation into a group impersonating a Test batting order at the Gabba,” they tweeted.

Meanwhile, Sportsbet suggested rain was England’s only hope.
