Have just been in contact with a Pommy mate who lives about 30 miles from Edgbaston and he said there could be short, sharp showers but nothing to worry about. His thoughts were for a draw, even though it goes against Roy and Buttlers style.

If it is to be a team decision/direction to play for a draw they will be in trouble.

Good win for the Aussies at Edgbaston, didn't think it was likely after day 1. Would be nice to win the ashes over there.

I took two major things out of this win.

1) A win at the bastion.

2) I made it past midnight.

He’s done his time. So has Smith and The younger fella.

I hope they do well now, and don’t cheat again, until they retire at age 36 or 7 or so.

As for all the other thousands of likely cheaters in sport (which doesn’t include Horton of course), hopefully they get caught and spend some limited time out of the game too.

But, if you were to believe cheaters should be out of the game permanently there goes a few NRL sides I think, for salary cap breaches. Or at least they’d be out of the game until all involved administrators/accountants/players were kicked out of the club permanently.

Why shouldnt they? It would be the only way to stop it happening, as it is giving them a fairy tap isnt working in the Cricket/NRL/RU/AFL/10 pin bowling etc.

I think I have to agree with you now. While it looks like Australia is in the box seat to at least force a draw, England has shown that the luck almost always lands with them.

Smith copped it because he was a weak captain, Warner was the instigator, bullet maker, and the 1 that tossed the others under the bus, but still has not said sorry for what he did, so as far as I'm concerned I would rather see us lose if he's in the team.

Sri Lanka captain Lasith Malinga sensationally claimed four wickets in four balls to become the first bowler to claim five international hat-tricks in a devastating blitz against the Kiwis
