Ettamogah pub , no such thing actually existed at the area known as Ettamogah which had only a shop with a petrol bowser out front , was an area roughly 1/2 way [5miles] between the old Albury abattoirs which is now the site of the new Base Hospital and the Hume Weir . The pub designs came from the cartoons drawn by the police sgt stationed out that way published in the Post magazine in the 60's ,most of the cartoon characters were taken from real identities living in Albury and surrounds , the barber + barber shop was in Lavington ,can remember getting the short back and sides every 4th Saturday morning for the princely sum of 6 pence prior to Feb 66 and 10 cents there after.
