A friend is opening up a new camp ground up in Byfield at Christmas, when he give me more info I will post it on here.

Sorry this is a bit late, we did the track from Cania Gorge to Kroombit Tops last year with our camper trailer.... it was a slow trip with a few steep loose climbs
Hi All,

Never too late. My camper is nearing completion so might go through there in september hols and catch a spot of fishing on the dam as well. The adventure in getting there is half the fun. I have heard that you need to be well setup to get through there when wet so first time hopefully will be pretty dry.

Cheers

In Nanango hey. I have been there for work so I think we can call it CQ. Will be interested in the new campground in Byfield. Close enough to do the bolt on fraday arvo after work.

Isuzumu.

Been to Canarvon several times and never tire off it. Takaraka is ok and has the creature comforts but will be crowded in scool holidays. May as well stay in the park campground if you can get in there. It is a nicer spot but will be crowded too. Was out there a few years ago and had planned to go to Salvator Rosa and Mount Moffat but had a heap of rain and had to Cancel. Both spots are remote and I dont think you get much if any access to the gorge itself. There is plenty out there to keep you interested though. I would go out the back if I was going out there during holiday period.

Well a few of us around the region now. Have to say like the Hodge family rain ruined my plans for September holidays. Anyway on the bright side camper is now registered and ready to go so will hopefully get away for a long weekend in about 5 weeks time. Wife is in Brisbane for the next month so not allowed to go without her.

Yeah mate I am out at Benaraby and enjoy most of the usual spots like Cania etc. Always looking to get away when the roster aligns with the wifes 3 dayers. Just recently had a top weekend at a place called Glebe weir on the dawson river near Taroom.

Cheers Shaun

Hi Polar
Another one in Gladstone. We would also be interested in a meet up somewhere. Plenty of spots around here so it wont be too hard to pick somewhere.
Keep in touch

Hi Hodge Family
Might be a tight squeeze as we will have just got back from MBM, but if we cant get out there and camp for the week end, we will certainly try and get out for a day trip over the week-end to catch up and say hi to everybody.

Hi Hodge family,
I will consult the mrs re that weekend might be a go. Got to do a couple of things to the camper first. I will try to do this weekend. We are also sort of thinking about a trip to Agnes before christmas if time permits. Hope to catch up some time soon.

Hi All

We're ex residents from Emerald (almost 30years).  Now living down near Kiama NSW for the past two years, but as soon as we sell up again, we are heading back home to Emerald.  The sooner we get home, the better, way too, too many stressed people down in these parts.
