How about Mt Ives Station in S.A. ?? Jun-Jul 2024 ?? Just a thouight as ERxploroz were going in 2021 and Covid killed it .. Sounded like a good place for a big meet up ?
Going back to basics - sort of ...

How about Copten Dam?
More than happy to put my hand up.
I would have to check sites, Powered Sites, there is a large Camp Kitchen, cabins, heaps of room and I'd have to check the date, it can get busy.

You don't use magic to disappear, ya use a 4x4 & Swag.

If you know of 3 Swaggers local to that area who would be keen to organise it Mandrake chase them up! I'm already chomping at the bit for the next adventure.  The below is from the Venue Nomination Thread

Ideally (but not essentially) the 2024 Myswag.org National Meet will be in either WA, NT or ACT (as QLD, NSW, SA, VIC and TAS have had at least one go) however, as previously stipulated, a venue is not to be nominated unless at least three Myswag Members in reasonably close proximity to the nominated venue are happy to put their hand up and assist with organisation.

Exact dates will be determined once the location is decided. School holidays and best season to visit in will be taken into consideration.

The rules for nominating a prospective venue for the 2024 Myswag.org National Meet are as follows:
1.     Don't nominate it unless you and at least two other Myswag Members    are happy to assume responsibility for organising a Meet there.
2.     Please don't nominate a location, please nominate a venue. For example, instead of
nominating "Grafton area", nominate "Nymboida Canoe Centre, Nymboida".
3.     Nominate a time of year ie Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring (when will your Venue be most enjoyable).
4.     The venue must meet the following criteria:
*Capacity to cope with at least 150 people (or more if the Venue is a central location)
     *Ample ablution facilities
     *Both powered and unpowered sites
*Both bush camping and site camping availability
     *Permit camp fires
*Have a central area for communal gathering

Hairs if you are happy to put your hand up (and know of a couple of other Swaggers in your area who would be happy to help you), put a nomination in this thread. Ya gotta be in it to win it  ;D

Hi Jillsy,
Just throwing the idea out there, get Swaggers thinking about where there could be the next National Meet and yeah, I'm up for helping others :)

Life gets busy, :(
I wish I could find time, all the hats that I wear, I struggle with things now.
It would be a shame, not to have a National Meet.

Sorry for the absence Swaggers.

It's a bit of a tough time for a lot of people at the moment between one thing and another.

Brett and I currently don't have a CT or caravan but that wouldn't stop us attending a National Meet in one way or another.

What's everyone's thoughts - should we shoot for a 2025 National Meet?

I think it would depend on bodies to put it together... Maybe aiming for next year would give more time for a team to put things together

maybe wack up a poll

Remember what ever the decision there will be support.
