Rebuilding warn anybody recall the grease ?
« on: December 31, 2020, 08:15:44 AM »
Does anybody who has had Mal Leslie rebuild there Warn remember what grease he recommends ? I can’t recall exactly but I seem to remember it was a mix of gear oil and grease ? Looking in my warn gearbox looks like a moly grease ?

Not sure when Mal opens but want to screw my warn back together
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Cheers Bruce I completely forgot that thread ! FWIW the winch is pristine inside for 8 yrs old. Testament to Mal’s ideas. I am not even going to strip the gearbox just top up the lube a bit, regrease the bush’s and paint the drum (the dynema holds moisture and rusts the drum )
