Scottish movie legend Sean Connery, the actor best known for his portrayal of James Bond, has died, aged 90, his family said.
The film star shot to international stardom as the original suave, sexy and sophisticated British agent James Bond and went on to grace the silver screen for four decades.
Born in Scotland, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000.
Tributes flowed on Twitter for the film star. Actor Sam Neill wrote "Every day on set with Sean Connery was an object lesson in how to act on screen."
