Pre-packed Damper Mix Use By Date
« on: October 01, 2020, 10:00:11 AM »
We're heading off for a few days at Kroombit tomorrow  and, whilst rummaging in a container, I came upon this little gem.

We were kindly given a couple of samples at a 'Swaggers get together at Yates Crossing, in 2015.

There is no 'Use By' date visible and I'm wondering if it will be OK. I'm hoping so, as the ones we did cook up were very tasty indeed.

I got their lamb shanks and a couple of others a few years ago and they had use by dates of about 10 years from memory, so i gather ones with basically just flour and dried fruit should last at least the, if not longer. Just roll the dice and hope for the best...

Well, after all the definitive advice, it's packed, along with an extra 'Date Roll' as a just-in-caser!

And remember it never happened unless there’s a photo  ;)
