Lightweight hiking/camping chair
« on: February 20, 2019, 01:42:13 PM »
After a couple of very lightweight and comfortable chairs we can carry into locations, concerts etc.
I already own 2 x Oztent Gecko's and 2 x Oztent King Goannas.
So far the Helinox Sunset Chair is winning at 1.475 Kg, packing up to 14cm x 47cm x 12cm.

Info on any others you own would be appreciated.

There is also this one that looks a lot like the lower back Helinox, I wouldn't pay full price but seems ok value for the club price. https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/camp-furniture/chairs-stools/denali-zephyr-chair/BP90054626

For outdoor concerts (day on the green type events) we have these

Comply with most event requirements re low height chairs.

Way to big and heavy for us.

You won't be able to carry that chair into most outdoor concerts due to height. Plus if you did people behind will end up chucking tomatoes at your back. I've seen the Coleman chair sold at both a day on the green venue and the Sandstone Point hotel events as an approved chair. We saved our dollars by buying through Tentworld ( a sponsor of this site)

If that Helinox meets your requirements, then you should take a look at the Oztrail Compaclite Trekker Chair.

https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/oztrail-compaclite-trekker-chair

It's 1.4kgs rated to hold 100kgs and measures 32x12x12cm packed.

Best of all it's 1/3 the price of the Helinox.

If you look online, we're showing as out of stock just now.  We've had a bit of a run on them in the past week, but there are orders in the system already so we'll have stock again in a couple of days.

However,  if you do have a Tentworld locally, all of the shops are showing as having good stock on hand.  So either way,  we've got you sorted if you want to go this way.

Happy Camping!
