I’m in the process of putting a terrace on the back of the house and looking to get a retractable awning. Has anyone had any experience with the cheap ones off the internet?

Have not used for outside awnings but have used for all window furnishings inside our house with no issues at all, quality is good, done nine Windows throughout the house. They do outside awnings etc

The wife bought home a couple from one of the chain stores years ago. The frames were fine but the canvas didn't last too long.

a mate of mine had one, broke the frame in a strong wind.
He now has an electric one with wind sensors that retract automatically.
