Here is a recent report also given by the guys from Manta Ray Barges too.
“We have had a very quiet February and March so far. We lost a fair bit of sand during cyclone Ului, but beach driving is still good for the six hours or so between tides. All inland tracks are providing some real tough driving conditions at the moment, which is great fun. We are also eagerly awaiting the opening of the new two-million-dollar toilet blocks at Lake McKenzie. The Manta Ray Barge will be operating extended hours over Easter to cater for the Easter rush. From Thursday 1st of April we will be running from 5.30am to 7pm and then restarting at 2am Friday morning to cover the early tide at 4.05am.”
Any similar reports that anyone can obtain leading up to the trip would be helpful too.
