Tropical roof on or off

Can you leave a tropical roof on a rearfold or do you have to set it up each time?

All the ones I've seen, it's attached to the roof and folds up as you winch it closed.

Any tropical roof should be able to stay permanently attached as long as it was part of the original design. Often you can also keep the annex roof attached, but that does depend on the camper
