Lifestyle Campers - Soft Floor Walkthrough Variations
« on: June 24, 2018, 04:53:58 PM »
Hi guys

Looking to buy a second hand camper trailer and keep coming back to the Lifestyle Walkthrough / Extenda / Deluxe Gen II. Until now I was under the impression all three names referred to the one model but it appears there were a range of ‘walkthrough’ models offered. Have a bunch of ads saved from 2009 to 2014. Is anyone able to tell me what the key differences are?

On a side note, does anyone know the overall length when packed up (coupling to spare wheel). Could be a tight fit in the garage!

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Dan

Hey mate, we’ve just bought a deluxe gen II. I’ll try to remember to measure it tomorrow but it just fits in my shed with a gym set behind it.
I didn’t know there was much difference between them, I’ve been calling ours an extenda since we’ve had it. One thing I did notice is while others have fold out steps inside the tent, we have to put our own steps inside during set up.
As for the lifestyle brand, this is our third & we like them because they’re well built, Australian made & still a well priced option, especially second hand.
Cheers

I own an Elite Walkthrough.

I believe some models had the imported tent, others had the Aussie tent.

The elite also has all the lock up external cupboards, the others don't.

Regardless of name, the Lifestyle Walkthrough model is a great bit of kit.

As for length, around 5.7m long. Mine fits in a 6x6 carport.

Must be good if you’ve gone back for your third! Must only be subtle differences between the different models as I’ve been looking at them online for months and only just picked up on it.

What’s the setup time like for main tent / annexe / drawbar room? Was after a 10’ tent but the mrs wants the larger tent and drawbar room.

Thanks for that. Any tips of differentiating between the Aussie v imported canvas?

Hmmm that length will be a deal breaker. Had seen some fuzzy measurements somewhere closer to the 5m mark for drawbar + trailer (excluding the spare wheel).

It’s a shame the canvas is maroon, I’m a bigger fan of the blue

In all seriousness we’re pretty much sold on a walk up camper (if it fits in the garage).

Cost, to remain competitive, they imported canvas and got their canvas guy to make the tents. It's still a quality product, but you can't beat Aussie canvas for quality.

I haven't, the Lifestyle's just tend to be popping up more regularly and filling my watch lists.  Probably why I've confused myself with the number of different one's I've been looking at.  Have got my eye on a couple of Jimboomba's and Customlines amongst a few others as well.

As long as it's under 5.2m I can rip out the work bench to make it fit.

Hoges, we have the extenda (2010) and love it. Its just on 5 metres long, including rear tyre through to DO35.

Champion, thank you! Will require a slight modification to the work but can make it fit which is the main thing.
