Enjoy it mate. Make the most of it.

Oh, and don't isolate yourself too much. After a lifetime of farming and a good lot of his friends already passing away, my father found it hard to get out and be social once he retired (the old man didn't finally get off the farm until he had to in his mid 70's). I think the isolation was one of the hardest parts of retirement for him.

I have no doubt you'll find plenty to fill in the hours!

So as a retired man, lots of people ask what I do to fill in my time.
Always jobs on the list to keep me going.
Having a cuppa early this morning and SWMBO asks what's on the programme for today.
Not much, time for a quiet day.
5 minutes later, phone call from the grand daughter, the dogs got out.
OK we will be round there in 5.
Why has the dog got out?
The electric gate is not working.
OK find the dog, fix the gate later today.
Meanwhile get a call from the daughter.
Car stopped at the lights and would not start again (istop)
Get her to work, then have to go later to get a new battery, fit it to car, then get her car to her work so she can get home.
Just another quiet day as a retired man.

You could always offer to act as a mowing consultant or sub contractor and ask for exorbitant wages.

Happy to act as your business manager, negotiate an air tight contract, charge your prospective employer wages as high as a politicians super and sit back and take a cool 15% skimmed of the top!
 ;D ;D ;D
I see that as a win, win situation for all concerned parties.

Stopped off to buy new pillows then came home to give them a test run . Cant really say if they work as l nodded off for an hour of so .. Life is tuff

Your in need of a constant input for those batteries.  Mine are nearly 9 yrs. since they were fitted.
Still going well.  Fitted with a 50W solar panel that keeps them going when parked up.
Still need a bigger solar input for going bush though.  Adding 120w folding portable panels is just not enough.
