Considering how many movies that come out are similar to another flick it was good to see something diffrent every once awhile

 633 SQUADRON     ... Havn't seen this movie since I was a kid in the early 70's laying in Armidale Hospital .. Nice seeing real Mosquito's flying the loop in Whales .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT7qrYi8R_M

"  ELIZA  FRASER  "  A big cast of well known Aussie actors,  Some great backdrops in the scenes of the Island back in 1976 ..  [ Lake Wabby, Wanggoolba ck, Lake Boomanjin, The pinnacles or Red canyon ]   bit of an ordinary  story line, But still a good watch and entertaining in a simple way.

Just watched Mad Max for the first time since I last saw it at the drive in...watched it on Netflix and...I was underwhelmed.

Its a mad mad mad world got a run last night on Ch9....... top cast, great cars.....but sort of just doesn't quite make it.

pure classic movie!!! Ya gotta love Phil Silvers tryin to cross the river.. LMAO  So many cameo's and stars in it... 3 stooges, the psycho Sylvester LOL!  I didnt realize it was that ancient! - November 1963


anyone seen Black Panther yet? apparently it made 1-2 $$ in teh US on opening weekend.

I wouldnt say your getting old .... just your expectations have probably changed over the years ..... i love some off the older movies and still enjoy many from back in the 70s / 80s ....

I went to see "Sweet Country" a week a go. The minister accompanied me. She thought it was OK, I thought it was excellent. And I believe all people who think the aboriginal problem is their fault should at the least see it or read some of our history. When watching it one should remember it was set in 1929. Not 1860.
I will now get off the soap box.

For those that want to please Swmbo, recently watched "The Mountain Between us", has Kate Winslet (who is good value) & some black fella.
Not bad, definitely a chick flick but watchable. 7/10
Another we watched is Roman. J. Israel Esq. Stars Denzel Washington, whilst not going to be a smash, it was still solid (anything with DW is solid IMO) 7-7.5/10

just watched:

"Finding Your Feet"

This is a great film - I really recommend it.

Simple enough storyline - but brilliantly written, and performed..   Great cinematography....
