You probably need to really figure out why it leaked first before you decide on the best course of action, ie, if it was a manufacturing issue the, statutory warranty, is probably the way to go. If it was damaged and leaked then try the insurance avenue. If you just didn't seal it up properly then go with the manufacturer's offer of parts. If for example, you go down the statutory warranty path, only to have it shown it was your fault you could likely find the manufacturer isn't so forthcoming with their offer for the parts.
