Camping and Kidney Dialysis

Hi all I realise this may be a bit personal for those with renal disease to share and extend many thanks in advance to those that do ..
My best mate is in the process of being introduced to Dialysis, [ Genetics ].
 He  loves his  camping and is a bit low at the moment trying to get his head around life in the future and the prospect of needing treatments at this stage 4 times a week for aprox 4 + hours at Hospital ..
Due to his work he's going the piq line in the arm access  for dialysis and will hopefully be getting a set up for home treatments ..
The question is does any one have / use / know of a suitable size portable unit that would fit a camper trailer  and run off a sturdy 12 V power supply and if so how good have you found them at doing the job ? .

I am a member of several teardrop sites in the us and globaly. Alot run cpap and very serious medical machines and even live full time in retirement traveling.
Everythings possible brother but other than i know people that do it i cant offer much more advice on cost or supply

My aunty was involved in setting up the Big Red Kidney bus and is a great idea and support service for many people like your mate that love to get out and about but still have this very unfortunate and sad illness that often limits long distance travel. You may have already heard of it but thought it meaningful to post anyway for those that haven't.

Take your dialysis machine
If you use portable dialysis technology you can take your machine and dialysate bags with you, or possibly have them delivered. If you use machines that need to be linked to water treatment, and wish to use them in a portable holiday setting, you need to talk to your dialysis healthcare team and obtain technical support and advice. It may take a bit of effort, but the chance of a holiday could be worth it.

Wow going by the campers in the Blog, a 4 hour short dialysis [ instead of the usual 8 hrs ] uses 180 ltrs of special filtered water
