What backup solutions are you using for business...?
Round 4TB of data across 4 site BNE/PER/MEL/SYD plus several VM's.

Running daily incremental, 4x weekly full, monthly full
Currently shambles... 2 systems, 1 wont work with 2016, and other decided to install its own Cyber protection... which stopped all powershell and command's on 6 physical servers across AU inc 8 VM's hosted on those servers

I want 1 solution for all.

Is it because I've deleted a lot of the windows 10 junk. Yes it works fine and has done for quite a while now.

With the latest version of windows 10, there isn’t really such a thing as versions any more... it will just be a constantly updated windows 10... these feature packs are a part of that philosophy, moving forward.

These feature packs are important, so it’s in your best interests to install it to keep your system up to date...

Normally they get released once or twice a year, depending on what is happening...

It’s nothing to do with you deleting stuff...

If you are familiar with windows of old, you may have heard of a thing called a service pack... these are a similar concept.  A point in time update/version of windows 10.

Anyone got any good tips on dictating to PC software...

new staff member fell and broke her shoulder, so cant type... if she could dictate her letter it would be a win...

thoughts? experience?

Dragon dictate/Dragon Naturally Speaking, bloody amazing. Takes a little bit to train it. If you allow it access to your hard drive it will read all your pdf and doc files and build a vocabulary specific to your work. You can also buy an Australian englsh/accent version. Cons, it needs a really good mic, but you can buy a pack that includes one. My experience is a few years old now so I don't know how it plays with Office 365. Also users will find you need to change the way you compose your sentences, going back to the way you did it when handwriting, because the context specific word recognition works best a sentence at a time. It has a very very good number entry mode.

Microsoft just bought Dragon (sort of) so should work pretty well with Office365 pretty soon

Use Google Docs "Voice Typing" -- It's rather quick and accurate, nothing to install just use the Chrome Browser, going to Google Drive or Google Docs

also got to get my incoming phone cable changed over to a single cable.  literally doubled my FTTN speed to 50mbps...

Which possibly explains why our printer at home died last week

Had previous unresolved printing issues……2 seperate laptops ( both win10 ), 2 different printers….same problems…printer knows it’s on wifi, but doesn’t “see” the laptop.    Laptop sees the printer but only way to print is to run troubleshooter and after it doesn’t find anything wrong, it prints
Couldn’t scan to laptop from printer, but could scan to laptop if done by using the printer app.??
Windows 10……still haven’t seen one thing it does better than win7.

Now using an IPad most of the time….no need to install a printer driver etc….just click on print….it sees the printer and prints…..how simple ?
And fast…..open a webpage in 1 second……..

your printer issues sound like driver issues... willing to bet it isn't a direct windows 10 issue...  printing over wifi can be problematic, regardless of printer manufacturer... plenty of variables (NIC drivers, printer drivers, router configurations, etc)...

but hey, whatever works.

As it is now solely for home use I've pretty much given up on wireless printing, well pretty much printing anything other than the odd manual. My wireless printer comes and goes with Windows updates, mostly the latter. It seemed to get worse with a new Telstra provided router. As you say can be so many issues, it isn't worth the bother. windows updates can certainly cause issues... no doubt...

it's been my habit to wait a few weeks before updating... generally works well for issues such as these...

Fire them both up from scratch……iPad is ready to use in 10 secs.  Laptop in 1 minute, if you’re lucky.
Open a website…..iPad 1 second…..laptop, 5 secs all going well.
